Hello, I'm Marseilles Chavez, Public Information Officer for Barstow Unified School District. Welcome to the Office of Public Information page. 

I grew up in the Barstow area, played sports in various Barstow leagues and attended Barstow College. I'm a hometown boy and am blessed to be able to return to the area that gave me the foundation to go out and become a successful journalist in Fresno, Sacramento and Los Angeles. After more than 25 years in the journalism field, I am proud to return home and use the experience I have gathered to share with the community the many great things happening in Barstow Unified.
