According to the National Alliance on Mental Illness, approximately 20% of adults experienced a mental illness in 2020, while about 16% of youth had a mental health disorder. These numbers are likely to have risen in the past two years due to ongoing stressors such as COVID-19, isolation, and loss of loved ones. As we observe Mental Health Awareness Month, we aim to promote healthy ways of managing stressors by highlighting effective coping skills that can enhance your mental and emotional well-being.

The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) and the San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools have collaborated to create videos covering various mental health topics, resources, and activities. This week, the focus is on promoting Healthy Coping Skills. Let's spread awareness by sharing resources that can educate others on the importance of healthy coping skills for their well-being.
